IN REAL DEMOCRACIES, CITIZENS HAVE A RIGHT TO DISSENT AND DEMONSTRATE. IS CANADA NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY?

 Currently, February 5, 2022, there are protests across Canada led by a group call the "Trucker's Convoy." Although the truckers are protesting the requirement for mandatory vaccination, the group has morphed to include those who object to the restrictions and lockdowns and all the damage done to Canada and the world over the past two years.

The press in Canada is railing against the group, calling them everything from Nazis to Supporters of the Confederacy to Terrorist, whereas police are reporting only that individuals have been charged with traffic violations and municipal bylaw violations. Otherwise, the reports are that the demonstrations are peaceful.

If anyone is trying to turn these protests into violence, it is the contined fearmongering by the Canadian media. There have even been calls for having the military intervene.

Oh, how the mishandling of Covid 19 by the Medical establishment has changed democratic Canada and the democratic world from respecting human rights and freedoms, to considering them a danger to society.

I feel a lot of frustration has built up after two years of restrictions and the financial, social, mental damage they did to Canadian society. Also -- the increased death among non-Covid-19 patients such as cancer victims, increased suicide, and death and injury from domestic violence.

I am certain that the dissenters in Ottawa, Toronto, Coutts Crossing, and Quebec City have suffered and/or know friends and family who have lost jobs, homes, livelihood, and human dignity as a result of government actions as part of the strategy to deal with Covid-19

I believe that dissent is a fundamental right of citizens in a democracy, whether they are demonstrating against pipelines, discrimination, Residential schools, or any act of government.

I think the government should be careful about using the military or extreme force against a demonstration in a democratic society. Imagine the message the use of the army or extreme force would send to the world and those Canadians who believe they have the right to dissent.

 

IT IS TIME GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WORLD GET RID OF THE ILL-CONCEIVED LOCKDOWNS AND RESTRICTIONS FORCED ON THEM  BY MEDICAL AUTHORITIES WHO KILLED SO MANY NON-COVID-19 VICTIMS AND BENEFITTED SO FEW.

 

LET A MESSAGE BE SENT OUT THAT IT IS TIME TO LET THE WORLD HEAL AND THAT THE MEDICAL WORLD MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO CAUSE SUCH CATASTROPHIC HARM AGAIN.
