MEDICAL AUTHORITIES IN ONTARIO ARE SHOWING A LACK OF FAITH IN THE VACCINES

I am certain that there are many Ontarians who qualify for the booster vaccination, and they got their first and second shots as quickly as possible. However, they now are questioning whether the vaccinations are really doing any good. They have told me that with restrictions continuing and loosening being delayed, Covid test requirements for leaving or entering Canada, media warnings of high numbers and threats of returning to lockdowns as has happened in a few European countries, has led them to believe that the vaccines are not really effective. Moreover, because of warnings from Medical authorities about 4th waves and other dire predictions, They might feel that the doctors do not have much faith in the vaccines as well. Thus, they feel that they would rather not take the chance of experiencing potentially serious side effects of another shot. I think the media and the medical world has created this reluctance of many people to have the booster shot. The fault lies with them and with using fear as a motivator. Fear is effective only for a relatively short time. My background is social psychology; I am retired.
