ASTRAZENECA IS AS SAFE AS PFIZER AND MODERNA -- THE INFORMATION IS RELEASED ABOUT THE RARE DANGERS OF PFIZER AND MODERNA

 

I have been fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca and, in Canada, there has been a lot of bad press about it. However, I BELIEVEit is as safe as Pfizer and Moderna. In North America, we hear very little about the negative side effects of Pfizer. 

 The information about the rare but potentially serious side effects of the MRNA vaccines is finally being allowed to surface -- even in Canada and the US.

"...there were 35 cases of serious blood clots with the vaccine made by Pfizer/BioNTech among 54 million doses given; five cases with the Moderna vaccine among 4 million Europeans dosed; and three cases, later updated to four, of blood clots with low platelet counts among 4.5 million people doses — apparently worldwide — with the vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson. That is the number the U.S. appears to have updated to six cases out of 6.8 million doses."

“A study by Oxford University found the number of people who receive blood clots after getting vaccinated with a coronavirus vaccine are about the same for those who get Pfizer PFE, 0.33% and Moderna MRNA, -0.52% vaccines as they are for the AstraZeneca AZN, -0.19% vaccine that was produced with the university's help. According to the study, 4 in 1 million people experience cerebral venous thrombosis after getting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, versus 5 in 1 million people for the AstraZeneca vaccine. The risk of getting CVT is much higher for those who get COVID-19 -- 39 in a million patients -- than it is for those who get vaccinated. AstraZeneca's vaccine use has been halted or limited in many countries on blood clot concerns.”

Blood clots as prevalent with Pfizer and Moderna vaccineas with AstraZeneca's: study

"A vaccine safety panel on Wednesday cited a "likely association" between COVID-19 mRNA vaccination and a rare risk of heart issues in adolescents and young adults.

"The update is based on a review of reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the nation's early warning system for vaccine safety, and other surveillance activities.

"Cases of myocarditis (or inflammation of the heart) and pericarditis (inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart) are occurring most often within a week after the second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and in males more than females, according to data presented at the meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)."

I am a shareholder of Pfizer and have benefitted from the increase in the share prices. However, I do suspect that the fact that the cost of the Pfizer ($19.50 US per dose) is almost 1000% more than AstraZeneca ($2.15 US per dose) UPDATED Comparing COVID-19 Vaccines: Timelines, Types and Prices | BioSpace, it is very advantageous to Pfizer that media and some medical authorities continue to bash AstraZeneca. As a Pfizer shareholder, I can see that Pfizer would do nothing to correct the impression, at least in North America, that Pfizer has no life-threatening side effects. Pfizer may even be subtly encourage this misinformation -- I do not know this for certain though. 😉
