A recent immigrant friend who came to Canada from Russia just a few years ago told me that now he feels at home in Ontario. "In Russia, the police would always stop everyone and ask them for identification papers and asked them what they were doing. Now, I will feel more comfortable in Toronto. Police can stop us for any random check and profess it is for Covid-19. Moreover, now all citizens can fear and hate the police -- not just black and gay men, as well as other minorities."
I think my Russian friends sums it all up for anyone who cares about democracy and has not allowed themselves to be brainwashed by Covid-19 propaganda.
The Charter of Rights and Freedom and the United Nation Charter of Rights (yes, Canada is a signatory) are being turned into toilet paper by Covid-19 fearmongering, restrictions and lockdowns.
There are some signs that we may still have some democratic law enforcers who do not want to become an Ontario KGB and who stand up for the human rights of citizens.
