ADVICE FROM PANDEMIC AND INFECTIOUS DISEASE EXPERTS HAS BEEN A DISMAL FAILURE IN DEALING WITH COVID 19

I believe that the medical world is at a loss about how to deal with Covid 19. Lock downs in the vast majority of countries around the world have proven ineffective. Covid 19 cases continue to increase.

I feel the problem is that the medical world sees human beings as organisms who get ill. Humans are psychological, social, spiritual, cultural, political, and economic beings, possibly even more complex. People's trust and belief in methods to deal with Covid 19 requires faith and trust in those who impose them.

Three hundred days of rule by medical advice has had two results -- Covid 19 is increasing at incredibly "second wave" rates and pandemic fatigue now rules over so many, tired of so much sacrifice with no success in sight.

We need the help and advice of psychologist, sociologist, social psychologist, economist, political scientist, and other social scientist to develop a plan to deal with Covid 19 built by experts who understand the multi-faceted population that they are dealing with.

I ask governments to please give social scientist the first chair in dealing with Covid 19. How could the results of their advice could be worse than medical pandemic advice?
